The Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society (SILS) is presently soliciting nominations for two awards, sponsered by Bruker:
Bruker/SILS Outstanding Scientist Award
Nominee must have achieved outstanding results within at least 20 years of scientific activity in the field of synchrotron radiation (methods, techniques and applications), preferentially within the Italian community. Nomination are invited across all disciplinary areas.
Bruker/SILS Young Researcher Award
Nominee must have made contribution to synchrotron radiation methods, techniques and applications, preferentially within the Italian community. Nomination are invited across all disciplinary areas. Nominee should be within 6 years of a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree as of July 1st, 2016.
Bari, 21 – 23 September 2016
We are very glad to announce that the 24th annual conference of SILS will take place in Bari (21-23 September 2016). Conference chairpersons will be Cinzia Giannini (CNR, Bari) and Andrea Di Cicco (University of Camerino and SILS).
The conference includes:
- plenary talks by leading scientists
- up to four thematic microsymposia on hot topics
- two open sessions to be organized on the basis of received abstracts
- industrial presentations
- a lively poster session
- a rich social program including a welcome aperitif and a social dinner
