SILS'Bruker Outstanding Scientist Award has been given to Claudio Masciovecchio (Elettra, Trieste) on September the 23rd during the SILS conference in Bari. The prize was assigned to Masciovecchio since he achieved outstanding results within 20 years of scientific activity in the field of synchrotron radiation, developing novel spectroscopies such as Inelastic X-ray Scattering, Inelastic UV Scattering, UV resonance Raman spectroscopy and Free Electron Laser based Four Wave Mixing.
The SILS/Bruker Young Researcher Award has been given to Alessandro Ricci (DESY, Hamburg) for his innovative investigation on complex nanostructured systems using synchrotron radiation. (link)
